I found this Tempeh wrapped in paper and tauhu leaf in the market. Nowadays, some tempeh maker packs the tempeh in plastic bag.
The Tempeh - unwrapped to show the tauhu leaf. Note the leaf pattern left on the
tempeh.
The tempeh maker wraps 2 pieces of tempeh in one leaf. This saves cost.

When I was young, housewives would normally buy the tauhu after almost buying everything they need because the tauhu would be placed on a "tauhu leaf " (shown below, re-enactment ) and handed over to the buyer. The tauhu will then be placed in the basket on top of other items.
Nowadays, the soft tauhu is put into a plastic bag, then put into another plastic carrier bag when you buy it from the vendor.
